40511 USADescriptionThe CFO will have primary day-to-day
responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling
all financial-related activities of the corporation. Lead and
manage the Accounting, Financial, Purchasing, Human Resources, and
Asset Management functions of the KHRGC. Develop and maintain
systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the
company and ensure compliance with all applicable laws,
regulations, and policies. Develop and promote a framework to drive
financial acumen and accountability across the organization. Assume
a strategic role in the overall management and growth of the
corporation. Assist in formulating the company's future direction
and supporting tactical initiatives. Develop performance measures
that support the KHRGC's strategic direction.DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as advisor to the President & CEO, Chief Operating
Officer, Board of Directors, Finance Committee and other members of
Senior Management on operational, policy and financial
matters.
- Staff, advise, and coordinate the Finance Committee.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets
to achieve the KHRGC's financial goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations of all finance-related matters,
including accounting, finance, purchasing, and human
resources.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals,
objectives, policies and operating procedures which are in line
with the needs and mission of the organization and as required by
law.
- Actively coach and guide direct reports.
- Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring
accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Long-term and tactical planning, and organizational performance
measures.
- Prepare, present and monitor annual corporation operating and
capital budgets.
- Develop and monitor all financial policies and procedures for
the Corporation.
- Serve as member of KHRGC executive team.
- Serve as a liaison with applicable state agencies, including
the Auditor of Public Accounts, the Controller, the State Budget
Office, and the Finance and Administration Cabinet.
- Develop and maintain an effective relationship with policy
makers and related staff. Monitor legislative activities.KNOWLEDGE
AND EXPERIENCE
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices
of corporate finance.
- Experience in governmental or quasi-governmental organizations
preferred.
- Proficient in automated financial and accounting reporting
systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team building
skills.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPENSATION
- Manage outsourced finance and accounting services partner.
- In collaboration with the COO, manage outsourced human resource
partner.
- Manage direct reports.
- Participation in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System.
- Eligible to participate in Kentucky state health benefits, life
insurance and deferred compensation programs.Minimum
RequirementsEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting,
finance, or other related field.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Minimum ten years experience in accounting or finance. Minimum of
five years of experience in a senior management level position with
