Responsibilities Expressive Therapist Opportunity: Music
Therapist, Recreational Therapist, Art Therapist or similar
Full-Time - Hours Vary As the only free-standing psychiatric
hospital in the Central Kentucky area, we are here to help. Please

community. The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital
located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge
provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for
children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial
Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual
Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have
provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties
for more than 39 years. The Expressive Therapist is responsible for
developing and implementing various aspects of the expressive
therapy program based upon each units needs and demographics. What

- Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy, Recreational Therapy, OR
Master's Degree in Art or Education. Experience
- Previous mental health experience preferred.
- Inpatient experience preferred. Certifications/Licensure
- Board certification (MT-BC) or eligibility to sit for national
exam conducted through the Certification Board for Music Therapist
(CBMT) licensure, CTRS, OR LPATA with supervision or LPAT/ATR-BC
required. Other Skills
- Skills in leading therapeutic recreational groups for all
ages.
- Skills in time management.
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced
principals of abnormal psychology.
- Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
- Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as
needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the
organization's cross-training, orientation program.
- Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via
written correspondence and medical records documentation. We
