The duties of this position include providing accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for diagnosis and management of human illnesses. This role utilizes automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position handles blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids, and may be contaminated with infectious diseases, including HIV and other bloodborne pathogens. To excel in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree and registration by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, or equivalent certification. You must also possess superior customer service skills and experience in an automated clinical laboratory. The work shift for this position is day, with a scheduled 24 hours per week.
