Job Summary

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care plays a vital role in providing quality care and treatment to patients with renal failure. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), this individual will be responsible for gathering patient statistics, initiating treatment, monitoring patients, and collecting blood samples as per physician orders.

Key Responsibilities

--- Patient care: Providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
--- Technician duties: Preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control.
--- Safety and quality: Using appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

--- High school graduate or equivalent.
--- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
--- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
--- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
--- Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency.
--- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
--- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
