Job Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for planning and executing testing efforts of systems, releases, fixes and enhancements, including documentation, reporting, analysis and acceptance. Partners with Project Managers, project team and functional business leader to steerprojectsto success. Ensures applications and platforms are compatible with each other. Ensures adherence to quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Knowledge of and ability to design, plan and execute complex system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

. Develops and executes complex test plans and coordinates system testing effort for compliance with requirements, analyzes test results and reports on findings, risk, and progress regularly.

. Partners with IT and functional QA leaders to educate, guide and audit the distributed QA

process and execution.

. Ensures the consistent adoption and utilization of common terms, artifacts, tools, technologies

and communications as related to IT Quality Assurance within Fifth Third.

. Develops and updates QA/Software Testing documentation in an efficient and timely manner

according to departmental standards and procedures.

. Documents the online system and testing procedures, allowing information to be shared with

new members of the group trying to learn or test the system.

. Guides on and offshore team resources in the testing of complex, multi-platform and distributed applications.

. Reviews and provides feedback on test plans, test cases, automation tests, and test reports/results

. Manage the execution of test plans, defect review board, requirement change requests, and processes for complex projects.

. Develops project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects and communicates this information to senior management and the business unit.

. May recommend process improvements as it relates to the planning and execution of testing.

. Ensure key stakeholders are aware of any delays, risks, or issues impacting the project schedule.

. Generates quality assurance status reports to management for ensuring smooth IT project operations.

. Implements effective and corrective measures to deal with specific IT quality assurance issues.
